man this made me cry more.
okay im sorry for my shallowness in the previous post.
it was just a moment of sheer dissapointment.
ALHAMDULILAAH , ive made it to poly.
this made me realise that i am lucky and maybe it is fated to be this way,.
papa texted;
congratulation on getting a higher place in the next level education institution.
there are many areas of oppurtunities for your future career path through this course
that you have graciously selected despite via appeal.
I am sure there are many out there who would trade in anything just to get a place in the poly,
I was one of them then.
I too did not get a place in the U despite getting the required points.
But i moved on and now I am a successful man with a 5 room flat, 5 wonderful children and a good and loving wife,
Alhadulilaah.
Count your blessings instead of your "don't haves" and you will find
direction and contentment in life.
InsyaAllah.
Your careers may include being a coach in tertiary institution, an exco member in the Singapore Sports Council employed under the ministry of sports and community development.
exco member of the Youth Olympic Council or the National Olympic Council...
the list goes on.
And your 4 years tenure with SAF will definitely add to your credetials.
The future is bright for you,
by the grace of Allah.
after doing many interviews to hire staff for my company,
I can share with you that we never really take note of the faculaty or enev the U degree that the candidates majored in.
Most of the time,
we select the candidate based on maturity, traits and and other on the spot factors.
The paper qualification is just a requirement to show that the candidate has acquired
proper education from a recognised institution instead of being purchased roguely.
It really does not matter what subject or discipline the candidate major in.
In fact, we have rejected a few degree holders as they lack the factors i mentioned above.
Look at me, i am not a diploma or degree holder under infocom technologyor others,
but i am a manager in M1 through hardwork and dedication.
You should be proud of yourself and your achievements so far...
cause I your father am very proud of you and will support you all the way,
InsyaAllah.
love papa :-p
man.
now i feel bad.
that's the reason why i reallly love my pops.
i don't know what i'd do without him.
thank you papa.
